Block 1 refurbishment
This project consisted of refurbishment of 22 classrooms which were originally constructed in the 1950’s and had various upgrades over the decades. The project was part of DQLS/AMS upgrade for the Ministry of Education.
The project was completed ahead of time in a total of twenty five working days allowing teachers to set up classrooms for the new term.
Works involved the removal of all pin board wall linings, floor coverings and light fittings.
Once the demolition of the old wall coverings was completed, it became apparent that existing plasterboard was in a poor condition and required significant remedial work including redirecting electrical cabling into the wall rather outside the walls.
New Autex composition was installed in all classrooms along with new floor coverings. External windows had rotten timber replaced, some new hardware and repainting. Walls and internal door painting was also completed during the period.
New LED light fittings, switches and RCD power point upgrades throughout the classrooms were installed.
